The Medesy periotome kit is a complete and effective instrument. It is composed of a handle with four different effectively sharp, delicate interchangeable blades for cutting the gingiva and the periodontal ligament and for ensuring an atraumatic tooth extraction without compromising or damaging the surrounding alveolar bone.

The periotome is a cutting instrument!
It is important to remember that the periotome is not an elevator, but a cutting instrument! We always recommend using the periotome only for performing delicate tissue detachments, it’s very thin blades are not designed to withstand stresses such as elevating and leveraging.
