Scorpion has developed an extensive range of universal and periodontal scaling tips which are adaptable for use on multiple scaler handpieces while also improving the vibration and cavitation of each tip to optimise efficiency. The point of every Scorpion ultrasonic scaler tip is thin, powerful and coated with a 2µm thick titanium nitride (TiN) layer which enhances tip strength while also acting as a visual wear indicator so that the clinician knows to replace the tip once the TiN coating disappeared, maintaining efficiency and patient comfort in the process. This exclusive and patented design is unique to Scorpion.

Scorpion tips are 100% manufactured in France and in 2015 Scorpion developed a new and innovative product, the CLiP, which facilitates the cleaning of dental implants and restorations without the need to change the tip during a scaling session.

The CLiP Implant Scaler Tip is a “dual function” tip specifically designed to take an autoclavable slide-on CLiP made from PEEK, a high-grade medical polymer allowing for smooth cleaning of implants without the risk of damage to sensitive surfaces. Simply remove the PEEK CLiP and the scaler tip can be used for supra-scaling teeth as usual.
