Dendia…. “the first step to a perfect smile”
Vision
Dendia has set itself the objective of assuming a worldwide leading role in the highly specialised field of rotary dental instruments.
Dendia focus on the highest precision and quality standards in the production of their instruments and are constantly improving them. Rotary instruments build the connection between the patient and the dentist. Therefor high-quality instruments are the basis for a perfect treatment result but are also essential for a safe and as comfortable as possible treatment.
That’s why Dendia claim, “Only a perfect instrument is good enough for a medical treatment”.
History
Dendia was founded in 1947 in Vienna, Austria and relocated its headquarters in early 2000 to Feldkirch, Austria to the border area with Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Dendia started very successfully in the field of steel and diamond dental burs and established the well-known brand “DICA-Diamond” cavity burs in 1951. Continuous product improvements and further developments followed. Special developments, such as the “Helicoidally Grooved Dental Burs” were also patented.
The build-up of expertise, the further development of products and the expansion of the product range were successively driven forward. Now the extensive range includes diamond, tungsten carbide and steel instruments, polishers, abrasives as well as instruments for surgical use.
DICA Diamonds
Highest quality for highest demands. Diamond grinders are the most important and most used rotary instruments. Dendia DICA diamond grinders consist of high-quality natural diamonds and hardened shanks of the highest accuracy. Manufactured with many years of experience and optimised electroplating processes over decades, they inspire with every application. Other diamonds may lead to a good result but only DICA diamonds convince with a perfect result in the shortest time and offer pleasant working experience.
Carbides
Highly compressed fine-grain carbide of the highest quality forms the basis for Dendia carbide instruments. The precisely manufactured toothing, individually adapted to the respective application are characterised by their cutting performance and long service life. The high demands Dendia place on their manufacturing processes convincing their users with excellent cutting performance and smooth running in every application. These conditions also ensure the best possible treatment experience for the patient.
Steel
Dendia steel instruments are made in one piece with highest precision out from stainless steel or tungsten-vanadium 120WV4 steel, depending on the intended use. To meet our high-quality standards, they show a very fast cutting performance and optimum concentricity.
Abrasives
Ceramic abrasives belong to the basic group of rotary instruments and show a wide range of applications. They are used in the laboratory to adjust and smooth ceramics or metal alloys, but also by dentists to smoothen composite fillings before polishing or to rework preparations. For each application, Dendia supplies an abrasive whose grinding medium, abrasive grain size and bonding hardness are optimized to the respective application. Decades of development and experience are reflected in each of our abrasives.
Polishers
Dendia polishing systems are specially adapted to the properties and requirements of the different dental materials. The respective composition of abrasive grit and bonding enables efficient and safe processing and provide an optimum result, both visually and in terms of mouth feel. For most used dental materials, we offer both diamond polishing systems for the highest esthetic demands and polishing systems with alternative abrasives as cost-efficient alternatives.
Surgery
For the special field of oral and maxillofacial surgery Dendia offers a wide range of specially designed instruments like Allport burs, Lindemann bone cutters or trephines made of high-grade tungsten carbide or stainless steel. Each instrument is optimally designed for the respective application in terms of the number of cutting blades the cutting-edge geometry and the total length of the instrument to achieve a perfect result in the shortest possible time.
Orthodontics
Debonding is one of the standard procedures in fixed orthodontics and includes removing brackets and adhesive from the tooth surface. During this process the enamel surface must not be violated. To remove the adhesive residue from the enamel surface Dendia offers a well selected range of high and low-speed tungsten carbide multi-blade finishing instruments with up to 30 blades. To remove safely also the last thin layer of adhesive we offer especially developed polishers.
