Temrex Innovation in Dental Materials

Committed to ensure dental professionals receive products they can rely on

Founded in 1924 by Dr. Frank Levander, Temrex has remained a family-owned company dedicated to advancing dental care through high-quality materials. Under the leadership of second-generation innovator Hubert Levander, Temrex established a strong reputation for producing reliable, high-performance restorative and cosmetic dental materials trusted by professionals worldwide.

Today, the legacy continues under the leadership of third-generation President Ethan Levander, supported by a passionate and experienced management team. Key leaders include Jackie Prather, Vice President of Sales, and Joseph Jones, Vice President of Production and Operations, both of whom play integral roles in upholding Temrex’s core values of quality, service, and innovation.

In 2005, Temrex expanded its capabilities through the acquisition of J.R. Rand Corporation of Deer Park, New York. These established products are distributed through Temrex’s international dealer network and are held to the same rigorous quality standards associated with the Temrex name.

Further growth followed in April 2010 with the acquisition of Cooley & Cooley, Ltd., manufacturers of the well-known Copalite product line.

In 2012, Temrex unified Temrex, J.R. Rand, and Cooley & Cooley operations at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Freeport, New York. This consolidation streamlined production, improved delivery efficiency, and reinforced the high standards dental professionals have trusted for nearly a century.

Some of the many Temrex products with which you may be familiar are Tofflemire matrix bands, Tofflemire matrix retainers, Siqveland bands, bitewing loops x-ray film holders, curing light protective eyewear and magnifiers.
